What's a Ruffit?
You know those tiny pieces of paper that we tape to our computers, with little messages written on them? Well, Ruffits are the electronic version of those little pieces of paper.
How do I Sign-up for a Ruff-it's Account?
Step 1:
Click on the "Sign-up for new account." link. Enter your firstname and lastname, in the fields provided.
Enter your email-address in the field provided. Note: Please use an email address that you own; do NOT use someone elses email address. You must also give us a valid email address, or you will not be able to complete the sign-up process, and the system will not work correctly. Now enter your desired password in the two fields provided. Note: password must be at least 5 characters long. Now click on the Sign - Up button.
If successful, the system will now respond with a "thank you" message that your userid has been added to the system.
Step 2::
Now go to your email box and open the "Ruff-it's Service: Welcome" email from us.
Look at the line that says: "Here is your account ACTIVATION code:xxxxxx". Where "xxxxxx" is your activation code. Using your mouse, highlight and copy the activation code. (Note: if you wish, you may just write it down on a piece of paper, but be careful, the activation code is case sensitive and may contain capital letters).
Now go back to the Ruff-it's homepage (or just click on the link that is being displayed on the "thank you" screen.) Go down to the form that says: Activate New Userid:. In the field marked "Activation Code:", paste (or type) the activation code that you just got from the welcome email. Now enter your email address in the field marked: "Your email address:". Click on the " [Activate ]" button.
If successful, the system will respond with the following message: Thank you, (Name). Your userid has been successfully activated. Please return to the Ruff-it's homepage and Login to your new account.
Step 3:
Go to the Ruff-it's homepage. Go down to the "Existing Users Login:" form. Enter your email address and your password (not the activation code). Click on the [ Login ] button. The Ruff-it's Display screen will now appear. You may now create, list, change, or delete your Ruff-it's, change your password, or delete your account, etc.
What do all those icons do?
This is the Ruff-it's homepage.
A calendar.
Help Screen.
This creates a New Ruffit.
This icon displays only your Non-Hidden Ruffits.
This icon displays only your Hidden Ruffits.
Displays ALL your Ruffits, hidden and non-hidden.
This icon will email ALL of your Ruffits to you.
Allows you to change your password.
Deletes ALL your Ruffits and your account (userid).
X
The "X" in the upper right corner of each Ruffit, can be used to hide or unhide your Ruffit.
With this icon, you can change the contents of your Ruffit.
Email this Ruffit to me.
Deletes this Ruffit.
Puts this Ruffit into it's very own Windows window.
