General Information:
Put simply, a Webring is a way of grouping websites that have similar content. This will give visitors the ability to view all the sites in a particular ring, by clicking on the "Next" link that appears in each sites "Ring Html Code" (also know as the "navigation bar code").
Our Webrings are open to Errand and Concierge sites only.
How to List sites as a group:
Visitors to the Webring homepage can list all the sites in a specific category, by clicking on the "List Sites" link that appears next to each Ring Name. The system will then display a list of all the sites currently in that specific webring.
How to Join a Ring:
From the "Webring Homepage", click on the "Add Webring Account" link, that appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Or click on the "Join this ring" link that appears next to each Ring Name.
The "Add new site" screen will now appear. Using the "Ring ID" pull-down menu, select the Ring that pertains to your site. Then click on the "Get Form" button.
The "Add new site" form will now appear. Please enter all the requested information. Then click on the "Submit" button. Specifically:
Site title: for example, XYZ Errand Services
Description: Enter a description for your site. What's in the site, features, etc.
Site entry URL: - Enter the address of your website. (This is your primary or homepage URL). For example, http://www.yoursite.com
HTML code URL: - This is the URL for your site where you plan to put the "Ring Html Code".
Note: If you are going to put the "Ring Html Code" on the "Site entry URL", then leave this field blank.
Site ID: - Create a userid for your webring account. For example, joe639
Password: - Create a password for your webring account.
Name: - Type in your name.
Email: - Enter your correct email address. We only use your email address to communicate with you regarding your account. Please make sure that it is correct. We delete all accounts that have incorrect email addresses.
You should now receive a screen that says: "The site (your sites title) was successfully submitted".
To complete the installation of your site in the webring, you will need to put the "Ring Html Code" on your site. This code will allow your site to function within the webring. Note: When adding the "Ring Html Code" to your site, please make sure you don't change the URL information, or the ring will not work correctly. If needed, you may change the colors of the table to conform to your site layout/design.
We will review your site and send you an email confirmation when we have approved your site.
